What Are The Places To Go In Kazakhstan?

Kazakhstan is the official name of the Republic of Kazakhstan, a Eurasian state located in the Central Asia and Europe. It borders with Russia in the north and west, with China in the east, with Kyrgystan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan in the south. It is washed by Caspian and Aral Seas.

Alma Ata is a quickly developing city founded in 1854 at the place of destroyed by wars and forays village Almati. Then it was a capital of Kazakhstan up to the end of the year 1997. Nowadays the city is very clean and very easy to understand with long straight streets and not high architecture. The city is full of green parks, plants, fountains, wide straight streets, unique buildings and construction. There are also many theatres, museums, entertaining parks, restaurants, night clubs and casinos there. The main advantage of the city is that it is very spacious.

The most beautiful sight in Alma Ata is Panfiloff Park, a rectilinear rectangle of flora, surrounding the bright Zenkoffsky Cathedral, one of few czar epoch building having survived the earthquake of the year 1911. It is fully built from wood without nails application.

The Central state Museum is one of the most important places of the country where one can see the exact miniature replica of “The Gold Man”. It is a soldier costume, made of 4000 gold parts, decorated with animal motifs.

Astana is a modern capital of Kazajhstan. Today it is not a high city with a number of attractive green streets. The population includes Russian (over 70%) and only 30% make Kazakhs.

There are many educational institutions in the city including Gumilev Eurasian University, three museums, and two drama theatres.

Among the obligatory places to visit in Kazakhstan is also Shimkent a huge Middle Age city, located in the Great Silk Way. The city is a so called sacred that’s why excursions include “Saint Place” visit and “Aristanbab” a place of worshiping the patron saints.

Kazakhstan is proud of their lakes. Kolsai Lakes are three green lakes attracting people by its beauty and filled with clean glacial water. Together with the woods foothills Kengay-Alatau they make a cool camping and good conditions for active rest and trout fishing. The travelers can have excursions by helicopters to Alma Ata lakes an even enjoy horse excursions.

Bal hash Lake is a unique natural formation and the best Russian resort. It is very big, but shallow. Its east part has salt water while its west part does fresh water that’s why even fish is different in different parts of the lake.
